RAN Armament Depot Sydney Annual Report 1935
In 1935, the Depot comprised the following storage areas:
Spectacle Island:

Newington:

There were a total of 91 staff, made up of:
Administrative:
- Armament Supply Officer - 1
- Assistant Armament Supply Officer - 1
Clerical:
- Senior clerk - 1

- Temporary female assistant - 1
Store Duties:
- Foreman of stores grade A - 1
- Foreman of stores grade C - 1
- Storehousemen - 7
- Junior storehousemen - 6
- Assistants (Armament) - 26
- Juvenile assistants - 3
Laboratory Duties:
- Foreman of laboratory grade B
- Laboratorymen - 3
- Assistants (Armament) - 15

Workshops:

Depot Craft:
- Motor boat drivers - 5
In addition, there was a police force of 10 men comprising 3 sergeants and 3 constables at Spectacle Island, and 1 sergeant and 3 constables at Newington.
